Our mission is to curate a community of like minded individuals who enjoy spending time with guests and with each other here at our beautiful tropical mountain paradise. Volunteers need to be highly social and have a team player personality. As a volunteer, you will greet guests to the restaurant, spa, and hotel, and help our hotel guests feel at home and cared for during their time with us. You will conduct hotel check-ins and check-outs, organize spa services and activities, make drinks at the cafe and bar, take food and beverage orders, and provide table service at the restaurant. Volunteers will also answer the phone to assist guests and answer questions both in Spanish and English. Most importantly, you'll lend a helping hand whenver it's needed, which could include special art projects, gardening projects, and more! Volunteers must be highly organized and be able to multitask as there are oftentimes a few things going on at once. Volunteers must be self motivated and able to identify what needs to be done, prioritize, and complete tasks without being asked. You’ll feel right at home here with our family if you enjoy socializing and conversation, have a love of nature, appreciate sharing your passion for great food and drinks, and personally enjoy the many activities that are offered at Earth Lodge such as hiking, fitness, table games, art projects, wellness, and the beautiful culture of our village and Guatemala as a whole. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT NEED VOLUNTEERS WHO JUST TEACH YOGA - teaching yoga is a bonus earning opportunity outside of our volunteer exchange program.
